Still consider the best of the series is 'ALIENS'...it just has everything you want in a brilliant Science Fiction Horror tale..cool characters like Hicks here..Ripley(of course)..Vasquez an her tall offsider with their huge multi-directional weapons..the gruff but casually cool career Sgt..the beautiful warship 'SULACO..excellent combat dropship craft..a gorgeous low to the ground sleek menacing personal carrier with a big arsed cannon (that they never used though,sadly😢)..infantry weaponary that looks not just functional but is based on the real future designs of the world's military today..a sleezy bad guy and a massacre of innocents and a lanky first timer who has a terrible command attitude and is ineffectual under combat conditions..and much more..don't get me started..giggle..I love this film..I have drawn and painted these characters since High School..these tough hombres as that sleezy guy says..COLONIAL SPACE MARINES..they just looked so 'we'll get the job done' type of troops that you would wish for if you were visiting LV-4..whatever that number was??..hehehehe..and those completely automatic heavy light cannons that were motion activated..OH MY GAAAWWD!! in the corridor as the first alien attack came in sequence..WOW!..so of course I'm am going to draw these guys..are ya kiddin?..the ALIEN species is already cool, but not many people paint these USMC guys..well not that I've seen yet anyway..😊..so I just had to portray HICKS and at the moment when they ponder as to just how those pesky vicious beings got into the Atmospheric Processor operations block..hmmmmm??..did they have a key?..were they already on the guest list for parties?..a TARDIS perhaps?..no!.. they were crawling through the very veins and arteries of the complex..YIKES!!!...this is just one of three versions I have done..one is much darker and menacing and a tad more grimey n sweaty looking..the other..well..hmmm??..Iam actually still working on that one right now and it may look completely different to this..maybe some gore?..who knows?..cause I don't until I'm stuck in the middle of painting it..hehehehe😉..think I'll put the film on an have a re-watch..later Troops👍✌(/-\).....END TRANSMISSION...................................................................
